Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, Chapter 17, Signs, Chapter
12 Nuisances , Chapter 6, International Property Maintenance Code adopted, Chapter and to wit:

Chapter 17 Signs and Advertising Structures
Section 17-42.—Prohibited signs and devices.
The following signs and devices shall be prohibited within the City of Atlantic Beach. In
the case of any conflict with other provisions of this Code, the prohibitions set forth below shall
supersede such other conflicting provisions.
(9) Portable and mobile signs. (sign on wheels placed at curb/entrance on Mayport)
(10) Temporary signs, except as otherwise authorized herein. (temporary sign "sign on
wheels placed at curb at entrance" Mayport Road)

(11) Pennants, ribbons, balloons, streamers, wind-operated devices and similar elements
that are intended to draw attention to a business or activity, either when used alone
or incorporated into a sign. (Banners, pennants, flutter flags displayed)
Section 17-61. Permit Required.
It shall be unlawful for any person to install, erect, place, alter, or relocate any sign
without first obtaining a sign permit with payment of the required fee to the city. Sign permits
shall be required for any sign requirement under the provisions of Section 3108.1.3 Florida
Building Code. A sign permit shall not be issued prior to issuance of the appropriate
occupational license (business tax receipt) as required for the activity on the property for which
the sign permit is sought, except as set forth in section 17-290 of this chapter. (excessive
number of wall sign installed without permits and exceeding the maximum wall signage
allowed under this chapter)
Chapter 12 — Nuisances
Sec. 12.1. Enumeration.
(b) It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, the enumerations of which are merely
indications of the nature and type of acts, occurrences and conditions, and shall not be deemed to
be exclusive:
(3) For any person to allow, suffer or permit any lot, premises, or place of any kind
whatsoever to become neglected so as to become a detriment to public health by the
depositing of filth or rubbish of any kind. (accumulation of wood pallets,junk in
rear of property and discarded sofa at curb on 11th Street)
INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE
Section 302.8—Motor Vehicles "No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked or
kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of disrepair, major
disassembly or in the process or being stripped or dismantled". (several dismantled,
inoperable, unlicensed vehicle stored in parking area between buildings in rear)

This letter requests that the noted violation be corrected within five (20) days from receipt
of this notice by removing all temporary signage, flags and banners from the premises and
removing discarded pallets, sofa stored at curb on 11th Street, remove all junk, dismantled,
inoperable, unlicensed vehicles and obtain permits for wall signage installed without
required permits or remove all unpermitted wall signs.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for
continuing violations.
