Though I wish he could have continued on the project, I need to replace him with a new contractor who can finish the job in a predictable manner. Generally his workmanship was first rate, but his inability to provide receipts and documentation for materials and labor, effectively track costs and relate them to estimates, and unacceptable project delays have forced me to re-evaluate the progress of the project and resolve the shortcomings. The contractor, C3 Custom Construction, has been notified by me that his services are no longer needed and I have forwarded him the remaining $400.00 for the work that he has completed to date, despite that fact that I have already paid for work that HAS NOT been completed to date, in the amount of approximately $9,600.00. I have not made a decision at this point whether I will pursue legal action against C3 Custom Construction and prefer a "clean break".
