On October 8, 2010 1 left a door hanger—asking to remove storage of household items that were stored outside. November 12, 20101 spoke with the tenant—he promised me he would comply and that he was still working on it. December 3, 2010 1 gave him until the 12th of December. On December 15, 2010 1 mailed a certified letter listing the violations again. The letter was returned to me the middle of January unopened. January 26, 20111 posted a door hanger on the property with a copy of the code that was in violation. I also asked to be called with any questions. February 8, 20111 left a business card and a message saying it was very important that someone call me. (At this point,the house was in worse shape than in the beginning). I REALIZE THAT I HAVE LET THIS GO ON MUCH LONGER THAN I EVER SHOULD HAVE. HOWEVER,THE FEW TIMES I DID SPEAK TO THE TENANT HE WAS ALWAYS VERY POLITE AND APOLOGETIC AND PROMISED HE WAS WORKING ON IT AND WOULD COME INTO COMPLIANCE IF I WOULD JUST GIVE HIM SOME MORE TIME. March 28, 2011, 1 spoke with the owner's daughter and asked her to inform her father he has 20 days to have everything done or he will be taken to the Code Enforcement Board on May 10, 2010. April 20, 2011 the work was not done. I hand delivered a notice to correct all violations and now to cut the grass in front and back yards. Also given was a notice to appear at the Code Enforcement Board hearing on May 10, 2011 @ 6:00 pm. The notice to appear as well as all other notices were given to William W.Wood who is a tenant. The owner Bruce L. Smith also lives at this address but I have never spoken to him. On December 15, 2010 1 mailed a certified letter listing the violations again. The letter was returned to me the middle of January unopened. January 26, 20111 posted a door hanger on the property with a copy of the code that was in violation.
