more than 60 days from date of permit approval, then perlrlittee must review the permit with the Director of
Public Works to make sure no changes have occurred in the area that would affect the permitted construction.
8. It is understood and agreed that the rights and privileges herein set out are granted only to the extent of the
City's right, title and interest in the land to be entered upon and used by the holder, and the Holder will, at all
times, assume all risk of and indemnify, defend, and save harmless the City of Atlantic Beach from and
against any and all loss, damage, and cost of expenses arising in any manner of the exercise or attempted
exercises by the holder of the aforesaid rights and privileges.

RE: Application For Planting Trees In City Right -Of -Way
Dear Mr. Carper:
Happy Earth Day and Arbor Day!
With that in mind, I am proposing to add two new small trees (less than 30ft tall max height) in my front
yard, half of which (20x21 ft' area) is in the city right-of-way. Additional landscaping bushes would be
added as well. Tim Gilboy from your department already came out and took a look and thought that since
all the utilities are on the other side of my driveway that he didn't see any reason why not to approve such a
plan once I got my application turned in. I've also made sure to leave area between my neighbors driveway
and the proposed trees to allow for easy access to the electric pole between my yard and that of my
neighbors.
Thanks for your assistance in this matter. I look forward to adding to the City of Atlantic Beach's lush tree
canopy and to the 150 trees/year planting goal for the city.
