Removal of unsafe, damaged or poorly maintained, and abandoned signs (c) Abandoned sign. Signs shall be removed by the owner or occupant within thirty (30) days of cessation of the business or activity conducted on the property where the sign is located. A business or activity shall be considered to have ceased when the premises are vacated, or in the absence of a valid occupational license (business tax receipt) or active utility service account. Signs not removed in accordance with these provisions shall be considered as abandoned and shall be removed at the property owner's expense.
