Porter 162 Fred King Lane Sevierville, TN 37876 RE: Notice of Violation, City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances 730 Camelia Street, SEC H ATLANTIC BEACH Lot 6 Block 148 (vacant lot) RE# 170934-0000, Case # 13-236 Dear Property Owner: Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances,to wit: VIOLATION Sec. 24-157 Fences, Walls and Similar Structures (d) Structures similar to Fences. Vertical structures such as trellises, screens, partitions or walls that are intended primarily for the purpose of creating privacy for a back yard or an exterior deck, as opposed to a fence which encloses or separates land, and constructed of any type of material shall be limited to maximum length of twelve (12) feet and a height of eight (8') feet above the deck or the established grade of the lot where such structure is placed, provided that no such structure on a rooftop deck exceeds the maximum permitted height of a building. Except for oceanfront lots, where the ocean side is the designated front yard, any such structure shall not be located within the required front yard of a lot and shall be subject to the applicable required side yard setback. (Privacy screen on the South side of your property exceeds the maximum allowed height and length allowed and the privacy screen installed is nine (9') feet tall and forty-one (41') feet wide and must be a minimum five (5') ft from your side property line and was installed without the required permit and must be removed) This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected removal of the privacy screen within ten (10) days of the receipt of this notice. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00)per day for continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
