garbage can in the gap between their house and 611 Selva Lakes.The can seems to be
decorative,because on any given day they just pile up the bags next to it in the yard,During
warmer times this draws in rodents and/or other wildlife,that sometimes spreads the trash
around.Our friends have spoken to them to no avail. .

Please be advised,Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property referenced above to be in
violation of Chapter 24, City of Atlantic Beach,Code of Ordinances, Section 24-173 Neighborhood
preservation and property maintenance standards yard to wit:
VIOLATIONS
CITY OF A TLANTIC BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES
Section 24-173. Neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards.
(b) Appropriate maintenance and upkeep. All areas of a lot and structures that are visible from a
street or a neighboring property shall be maintained in an acceptable manner, which shall be
defined by the following characteristics:
I. Lots are maintained free of litter,trash, debris, discarded belongings, automotive parts
and old tires, construction materials, and broken and abandoned items. (lumber and dismantled
furniture stored in side yard between dwelling units)
This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of discarded furniture and
lumber stored in your side/front yard within five(5) days from receipt of this notice and cease any
future outside storage.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, al I listed violations on this notice
must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board
may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for continuing violations.
