Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, Chapter 17, Signs, Permit
required and Section 17-42. —Prohibited signs and devices to wit:

Section 17-61.—Permit Required
It shall be unlawful for any person to install, erect,place, alter or relocate any sign
without first obtaining a sign permit with payment of the required fee to the city. Sign permits
shall be required for any sign requiring a permit under Section 3108.0.3, Florida Building Code.
A sign permit shall not be issued prior to issuance of the appropriate business tax receipt as
required for the activity on the property for which the sign permit is sought, except as set forth in
section 17-299c) of this chapter. (Signage installed without proper permits as required and
no business tax receipt for advertised businesses)
Section 20-52. Business License Tax.—Levy.
A business license tax shall be levied on:Any person who maintains a permanent
business location or branch office within the City, for the privilege of engaging in or managing
any business within its jurisdiction.

added to the free standing ground/pole sign including supporting documents and obtain a
sign permit as required within ten (10) days of receipt of this notice or remove the sign.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on
this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action(s)required, it is your responsibility
to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
