Subject: No parking sign on Dewees
Bill Sheppard the owner of the fenced vacant lot on Dewees has questioned
me concerning the "No Parking" sign placed in the right of way middle of
his lot on Dewees Street "NO PARKING" . I spoke to Freddie Daniels in
Public Works and he says that you and the Chief authorized the placement
of the sign in July of 2009 . Mr. Sheppard would like "no parking on the
entire portion of the right of way in front of his lot not just the
easternmost half. I have called him and requested he mow the lot and
every time he questions the logic in the "no parking sign" and says he has
called several times on this . In an effort to try and put this issue to
rest I would like to meet with you at the property if possible to discuss
this so I can relay the reason to Mr. Sheppard or possible have the sign
moved as he has requested. Please let me know if this is acceptable and
if so a date and time you would be available. My cell number is 955-3589
