to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, to wit:
VIOLATIONS
Violation Description
IPMC Sec. 505 Water System. 505.1 General.
Every sink, lavatory, bathtub or shower, drinking fountain,
water closet or other plumbing fixture shall be properly
connected to either a public water system or to an approved
private water system. All kitchen sinks, lavatories,
laundry facilities, bathtubs and showers shall be supplied
with hot or tempered and cold running water in accordance
with the International Plumbing Code. (No sewer line is capped) /
Violation Description
IPMC Sec. 505.2 Contamination.
The water supply shall be maintained free from
contamination, and all water inlets for plumbing fixtures
shall be located above the flood-level rim of the fixture.
Shampoo basin faucets,janitor sink faucets and other hose
bibs or faucets to which hoses are attached and left in
place, shall be protected by an approved atmospheric-type
vacuum breaker or an approved permanently attached hose
connection vacuum breaker. \

Sec. 506.1 Sanitary Drainage System. General. All
plumbing fixtures shall be properly connected to either a
public sewer system or to an approved private sewage
disposal system.

Sec. 108.1.3. Structure unfit for human occupancy. A
structure is unfit for human occupancy whenever the code
official finds that such structure is unsafe, unlawful or
because of the degree to which the structure is in
disrepair or lacks maintenance, is unsanitary, vermin or
rat infested, contains filth and contamination, or lacks
ventialation, illumination, sanitary or heating facilities
or other essential equipment required by this code, or
because the location of the structure constitutes a hazard
to the occupants of the structure or to the public.
Violation Description
IPMC 302.4 Weeds.
All premises and exterior property shall be
maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of
twelve (12) inches. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited.
Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and
vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however,
this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.
Violation Description
Sec. 24-154. Outdoor display, sale and storage of
furniture, household items, merchandise and business
activities outside of the appropriate maintenance and
upkeep. All areas of a lot and structure that are visible
from a street or a neighboring property shall be maintained
in an acceptable manner, which shall be defined by the

This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected within twenty (20) days of the
receipt of this notice. The structure may not be occupied and is unfit for human habitation
until city sewer is uncapped and an approved inspection is done to allow structure to be
approved for occupancy.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.

Dear Mr. Hill,
On May 8, 2013 the sewer connection for 372 Royal Palms Dr was disconnected due to nonpayment of
the past due utility bill in the amount of$1257.61.This amount is the accumulation of unpaid charges
since March 12, 2012.
Prior to reconnecting the sewer service at this address the following items are required:
Payment in full of the past due utility bill in the amount of$1348.02 (including current month's bill)
Payment of the disconnection and reconnection charges in the amount of$405.48
Reconnecting your water service to the City's water system and approval that reconnection meets
the requirements for connecting to the City's water system.
Upon payment of the above mentioned charges and reconnecting your water to the City system we will
remove the sewer cap and restore all services to this address.

The City has physically capped the sewer lines on the above addresses due to nonpayment on Wednesday May 8,2013.
65 Shell St was capped due to an unpaid lien for sewer connection.The property is owned by Harold Coffield and is
vacant. Mr. Coffield had been notified by City Attorney Alan Jensen that service would be cut if lien not paid.The water
for this address is supplied by a well.
372 Royal Palms Drive was disconnected for nonpayment of the sewer bill in the amount of$1,257.61.The owner
Stephen Hill who resides at the address was notified by certified latter that services would be capped by certified letter

sent in April. Prior to this the water had been disconnected for nonpayment and Mr. Hill rerouted the water so that he
could receive water from his well.The City had also previously removed the garbage toter due nonpayment.

place, shall be protected by an approved atmospheric-type
vacuum breaker or an approved permanently attached hose

ventialation, illumination, sanitary or heating facilities
or other essential equipment required by this code, or
because the location of the structure constitutes a hazard
to the occupants of the structure or to the public.

IPMC 302.4 Weeds.
All premises and exterior property shall be
maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of
twelve (12) inches. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited.
Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and
vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however,
this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.
Violation Description
Sec. 24-154. Outdoor display, sale and storage of
furniture, household items, merchandise and business
activities outside of the appropriate maintenance and
upkeep. All areas of a lot and structure that are visible
from a street or a neighboring property shall be maintained
in an acceptable manner, which shall be defined by the

notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
