when installing the felt interlays over spaced sheathing to ensure that
an effective baffle Is formed (Figure 3, Page 6). The felt should be ap-
plied over the top portion of the shakes and extend on to the spaced
sheathing so that the bottom edge of the felt is positioned at a distance
above the butt equal to twice the weather exposure. 7b be an effective
baffle, the top of the felt must rest on the sheathing. The shakes should
be placed so that the nails are driven through the uppersortion of the
sheathing board with the top of the roofing felt attache to the lower
portion.

Our records indicate that you are the owner of the following

An investigation of this property discloses that I have
found and determined that a public nuisance exists thereon as to
constitute a violation of Section 12. 1 of the Code of ' Atlantic
Beach, and that a fence has been constructed on the right-of-vay
at said property.
You are hereby notified that unless the condition above
described is remedied within seven (7) days from the date hereof,
the City will remedy this condition at a cost of the work plus a
charge equal to 100% of the cost of the work to cover City
administrative expenses, which will be assessed the property
owner or occupant. If not paid within thirty (30) days' after
receipt of billing, the invoice amount plus advertising costs,
will be posted as a lien on the property.
Within seven (7) days from the date hereof, you may make
written request to the City Commission of the City of Atlantic

2 . Drawing of Site Analysis #1 indicating the land use permitted under
existing RS-2 Zoning and Chapter 24 , Double Frontage Lot Regulations
3 . Drawing of Site Analysis 92 indicating requested land use
I am requesting that the City Commission consider allowing my property
to be subdivided as per Site Analysis #2 so that I may construct 4 single
family structures on individual lots . By allowing me to acccmplish . this
land use , the following advantages can be realized by the City as a whole
and the immediate neighborhood specifically .
1 . Percentage of building coverage to land 9% less with greater open
Spaces .
2 . 20 foot street (Beach Avenue) setback maintained in lieu of 5 Foot
as under Chapter 24 .
3 . 40 foot distance between structures in lieu of 20 foot as under

4 . Permanent residents more probable . Secondary structures

5 . Lot size greater than RS-2 requirements .
6 . The improvements will be designed taking into account the existing
neighborhood structures and exterior treatments . Landscaping will be

and Analysis #2 presented at larger scale . I will be available to your
questions .

ZONING AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
ARTICLE III. ZONING REGULATIONS
DIVISION 4. GENERAL PROVISIONS AND EXCEPTIONS
Section 24-84. Yards; Obstructions; double frontage lots.
(b) Double frontage lots. On double frontage lots, the required
front yard shall be provided on each street, except the requiredfront
yard on throuah lots between Beach Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean shall
be the yard which -faces the Atlantic Ocean, and the front yard on double
frontage lots between beach Avenue and Ocean Boulevard shall be the yard
which faces Ocean Boulevard.
Section 24-86. Secondary 'Dwellings
(1) In any zoning district, when a lot has a width of fifty (50)
feet or more and extends. frOm street to street, a secondary single
dwelling which may be combined with a private garage with a capacity of
not more than two motor ve-hicles,_may be erected in the rear of a
principal dwellingi provided that the secondary dwelling shall not be
more than twenty-five (25) feet high, that there shall not be less than
twenty_�(20), feet between �the principal and secondary dwellingg,the side
yard-regulations whidh--apply�to the principal dwelling shall also apply
to the sides of -the -secondary dwelling, a driveway or opeft'space not
less than ten (10) �feet wide shall be maintained to giye 'access thereto
from the street and no part of. a secondary dwelling shall be nearer than
five (5) feet to the rear lot line of any lot.
(2) Any existing -secondary dwelling or accessory building that is
encroaching .on the street-right 'of way shall not .be rebuilt, enlarged,
remodeled or structurally altered *unless such encroachment is removed
from the street right of way.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.

Our records indicate that you are the owner of the following
property in the City of, Atlantic Beach, Florida:

An investigation of this property discloses that I have
found and determined that a public nuisance exists thereon as to
constitute a violation of Section 12. 1 of the Code of Atlantic
Beach, and that a fence has been constructed on the right-of-vay
at said property.
You are hereby notified that unless the condition above
described is remedied within seven (7) days from the date hereof,
the City will remedy this condition at a cost of the work plus a
charge equal to 100% of the cost of the work to cover' City
administrative expenses, which will be assessed the property

Each application for building permit must be accompanied by two complete TELEPHONE(904)249-2395
sets of plans, including a detailed site plan, indicating location of
utilities, parking, size of yards and other data as required by code and/or
the building, zoning or community development departments of the City Of
Atlantic Beach; one set of Florida Energy Efficiency Code sheets (on new
construction or additions of 500 sq-ft. or more); and a recent survey of the
land for new construction and additions.

SCHEDULING_INSPECTIONS
Requests for inspection are taken from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 P-m-
Inspections are made the following working day; please specify am or pm
inspection. When calling in an inspection please have the it number,
of inSpectLon needed. Inspections are scheduled as

3. Slab
4. Framing, rough electrical, mechanical, plumbing call for cover-up on
building, use building permit number and reference other applicable
permit numbers (electrical, mechanical, etc.)
5. Insulation
6. Final inspection/Certificate of occupancy.
2 UILDING CARD MUST BE POSTED OR NO INSP IONS WILL BE 14ADE
Concrete cannot be poured and work cannot be covered up until the building
card is SIGNED by the inspector. You may be required to uncover any work
that has not been inspected. It is the responsibility Of the
BUILDER/CONTRACTOR to post the building card.
A fee of $15 is charged for all reinspections.
