Campbell,Deputy Chief of Police DATE: 04-24-96 BACKGROUND: Per instructions at the Commission Meeting of 04-22-96,1 evaluated the under growth that may be a traffic observation hazard at the intersection of 16th. Street and Ocean Blvd. The complaint was of obstructed viability at the stop sign, of East bound traffic on 16th. Street by traffic South bound on Ocean Blvd. FINDINGS: There may be some obstruction being caused by low growing brush at the Northwest corner of this intersection, for traffic South bound on Ocean Blvd. RECOMMENDATION: The area that would need to be brushed could be determined by intersecting a line from a point approximately 15 to 20 feet west of the intersection on 16th. Street and 15 to 20 feet North of the intersection on Ocean blvd. This area would not have to be clear cut, but simply brushed out to a height that would allow viability from a motorists view perspective.
