Please find the following responses your comments dated April 29, 2014.
• Regarding the bridge portion:
NFPA 1 - 18.2.3.4.5.3 Vehicle load limits shall be posted at both entrances to bridges where
required by the AHJ.
Response: Acknowledged.
• Post the load limits as reflected in the signed and sealed letter dated April 24, 2014 from Zeyn
Burhan Uzman, PE stating a bridge load of 72,000 pounds with occasional 84,000 pound load.
Response: Acknowledged.
Regardinq the site plan for Atlantic Country Club:
1. NFPA 1 - 18.2.3.4.1.1 Fire department access roads shall have an unobstructed width of not less
than 20 ft. Sheet 10 west side of project north of gated entrance the access road extending north
to the second single story building does not meet the above criteria.
Response: The access road has been increased to 20' up to the southwest corner of the
existing building. This will put the access to within 50' of the existing building. Please
see the revised Sheet 10.
2. NFPA 1 - 18.3.1* An approved water supply capable of supplying the required fire flow for fire
protection shall be provided to all premises upon which facilities, buildings, or portions of
buildings are hereafter constructed or moved into the jurisdiction. Provide a fire hydrant within
500' of the remote point of the above noted building. Also on the east side of the development
to the west and south of the bridge, sheet 56 indicates a cul-de-sac with no fire hydrant provided.
Response: A fire hydrant has been added within the Maintenance area, please see revised
Sheet 16.

3. NFPA 1 - 18.4.5.1.1 The minimum fire flow and flow duration requirements for one- and two-
family dwellings having a fire flow area that does not exceed 5000 ft2 shall be 1000 gpm for 1
hour. Provide fire flow modeling showing the expected flow rates for the hydrants to be installed
in this development that meet or exceed the above required minimum. If this minimum is not
provided, reductions may require provision of fire sprinkler systems for each structure.
Response: Please see attached Fire Flow Calculations for the entire development.
• For future developments I would suggest that all parties, including the Fire Marshal's Office of
Plan Review be provided plans for review very early in this process.

' Atlantic Beach Country Club—Hydraulic Flow Analyses Summary
' Atlantic Beach Country Club will be located on the west side of Selva Marina Drive, Duval County, Florida
(Figure 1). The current parcel numbers for the subject property are 169399-0000, 172024-0000, 172027-0030,
172027-0010, 172029-0000, 169399-0000 and 172000-0000. Atlantic Beach Country Club is proposed to be
constructed in two phases consisting of up to 200 single-family home lots, a new 18-hole golf course with
maintenance facility and club house.
The proposed potable water transmission system will connect to the City of Atlantic Beach water system in three
' (3) different places, to loop the systems with hopes to improve the water system through the city. The three
connections are as follows: (1) connection to the existing 24" water main by the existing Atlantic Beach
treatment plant at the north end of the site, (2) connection to the existing 8" water main at the intersection of
' Dutton Island Drive and Francis Avenue, and (3) connection to the existing 6" water main with Selva Marina
Drive. As part of this permit we will be extending the water main through the development to provide the
required fire flow throughout. Fire hydrants will be placed along the main a maximum of 500'apart.
' The hydraulic analyses for Atlantic Beach Country Club includes Maximum Day Demand plus Fire Flow and
Peak Hour Demand analyses. The initial static connection pressure for all analyses was set at 48 psi per the fire
flow test that was conducted by the City of Atlantic Beach.
' Based on the results of the hydraulic analyses,a minimum of 20 psi is maintained throughout the Atlantic Beach
Country Club distributions stems during the Maximum Day Demand Plus Fire
Flow scenario.
