Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, to wit:

Violation Description
IPMC 302.1 Sanitation.
All exterior propej -ind premises shall be maintained in a
clean, safe and sanii,-v-y condition. The occupant shall keep
that part of the exterior property which such occupant
occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary condition. (garbage,
trash, overflowing recycle bins on Sailfish Drive)
Violation Description
IPMC Sec. 308.1 Accumulation of rubbish or garbage.
All exterior property and premises, and the interior of
every structure, shall be free from any accumulation of
rubbish or garbage. (garbage at curb on Sailflsh Drive,
improperly stored)
Violation Description
Sec. 16-3. - Garbage and trash containers.
(b) Set out and storage. No person shall place a
container or yardwaste in front of a residential unit in
which he does not rcside. Nor shall containers of yard
waste be placed in a city park or right of way adjoining a
pard or in a road median. Garbage containers set out for
garbage collection shall be placed at the curb of the
street from which garbage service is rendered except as
otherwise provided herein. Garbage containers shall be set
out no earlier than 6:00 pm the day prior to collection and
shall be returned to their regular place of storage no
later than 12:00 midnight on the day of collection. Yard
waste such as leaves or grass clippings shall be set out in
a yard waste receptacle,no sooner than two (2) days prior
to collection. Bulk(uncontainerized) yard waste such as
tree limbs or palm fronds may be set out when generated.
Garbage container blinds, which are in architectural
harmony with the building, or underground containers may be
placed anywhere between the building and the street for
which garbage service is rendered,but in no case shall
they be located on public right of way or public property.
If garbage is stored u�derground or behind a garbage
container blind that is not located at the curb,the
garbage container must be moved to the curb for pick up.
Any residence or commercial unit to which this section
creates a hardship to either the resident of the property or
the franchisee for placement of containers for garbage
service shall apply to the public works director or his
designee,who shall thereupon determine the location at
which garbage containers shall be placed. Garbage
containers located other than as described in this section
shall not be emptibd. In cases where lots run from street
to street, the provisions of this section applicable to
front yards shall W* apply to rear yard. (ALL garbage, recycle,
trash must be placed in frojit on PLAZA)

facilitate automated or semi-automated collection by the

for collection service. Nothing shall be picked up,
collected or removed by the franchisee unless it is within
a garbage container as defined herein. Household items
normally set out with garbage such as curtian rods and

plumbing fixtures weighing less than forty(40) pounds, may
be placed next to garbage containers. Any items exceeding
five(5) feet in length shall be folded or cut to meet
length requirement, when possible. Although toters remain
the property of the contractor or the city, residents are
allowed to neatly stencil house numbers onto the container
for ease of identification. (Toter being placed on Sailfish Drive
that is not City issue as required)
This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of all garbage, trash,
recycle items stored in the public right of way on Sailfish Drive with within ten (10) days of
the posting of this notice airid by placing all items to be picked up on Plaza in front of the
residence. Garbage, trash. �.--fc., will no longer be picked up or removed if placed at curb on
any street except Plaza.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00) per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
It is our goal to keep our neighborhoods looking well maintained while protecting property
