Dear Property Owner: Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, to wit: VIOLATION Violation Description FBC Section 105 Permit 105.1 Required. Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any required impact resistant coverings, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this codo, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first ma!,o application to the Building Official and obtain the required permit. Violation Description IPMC 302.1 Sanitation. All exterior property and premises shall be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition. The occupant shall keep that part of the exterior property which such occupant occupies or control, 'n a clean and sanitary condition. Violation Description IPMC 302.4 Weeds. All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of twelve(12) inches. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however, this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens. Violation Description IPMC Sec.304.10 Stairways, decks,porches and balconies. Every exterior stairway, deck,porch and balcony, and all appurtenances attached thereto, shall be maintained structurally sound, in good repair, with proper anchorage and capable of supporting the imposed loads. Violation Description IPMC Sec. 304.12 Handrails and guards. Every handrail and guard shall be firmly fastened and capable of supporting normally imposed loads and shall be maintained in good condition. Violation Description IPMC Sec. 304.6 Exterior walls. All exterior walls shall be free from holes,breaks, and loose or rotting materials; and maintained weatherproof and properly surface coated where required to prevent deterioration. Violation Description Sec. 24-154. Outdoor display, sale and storage of furniture,household items, merchandise and business activities outside of enclosed buildings. (g) Within all residential zoning districts, and also including any property containing a residential use, household items, furniture and those items customarily intended for indoor use shall not be displayed,maintained or permanently stored outdoors, or in any location on the lot where such items shall be stored or properly disposed of to avoid mold,rodent and insect infestations which may result in health risks and which also create unsightly appearance that negatively affect neighborhoods. Such violations shall be corrected immediately upon written order from the city. Page Number 2 306 4TH ST June 16, 2014 This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected mowing the overgrown yard, removing all junk from the Arport and decks, repair the rotted decks and exterior walls, and remove the junk white Dodge car within thirty (30) days of the posting of this notice. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for continuing violations.
