BACKGROUND: On October 27 °i, a Special Called Meeting was held to discuss the possible
creation of a Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) in Atlantic Beach. Steve Lindorff,
Jacksonville Beach's Planning Director and Carol Westmoreland, Executive Director of the
Florida Redevelopment Association gave an introductory presentation to the commission.
At the November 24th Commission meeting, staffwill give a brief overview of possible CRA
boundaries, examples of what a CRA could fund in Atlantic Beach, costs associated with studies,
and the CRA approval process.
