On Septermber 13"', 1 personally visited the above referenced site to verify that the structural ft ing
work meets the intent of my original structural engineering documents. The roof framing was. am
significantly altered,as prefabricated roof trusses were utilized in lieu of the conventional framed
rafters indicated on plan.
I addition the individual 3050 windows at the front and rear wall of existing portion were constructed
as a continuous 9050 with a (2)2x 10 SYP hcader bearing over(21) trinimer studs and braced with (2)
2x4 king stud at each end.
Threaded rod uplift connectors were installed at come,.s, each side of opening, and at niax 48-1
on center. This exceeds the
roof-to-wall connection. Intent of my engineering, as I did not require metal connectors below the
The LVL beam was not utilized to carry the existing trusses over the garage. Instead, the trusses
were stubbed back to bear over the new wall. The following trus pair was performed:
• '/4"plywood Pssetts each face to match profile up to pit s re

• 2x4 wedge block installed as filler block between top and bottom chord
• Gussctts nailed with 0.13lx2-1/2"long nails ( 3"o.c. at top and bottom chord, both faces
This is an acceptable alternate to the specified beam up solution.
Overtraming was performed over portions of the roofas follows:
• 2x 10 sleepers fastened to roof framing with (2) '/4"x 4"long exterior deck screws at each
support.
• 2x6 rafters were framed (4.!24"o.c.
• 2x4 collar ties spaced 24"o.c. were scabbed to Opposing rafters
This is suitable construction for over-framed rafters.
Anchor bolts and sheathing were installed per plan. Prefab roof tnisses were connected to the wall
with metal connectors suitable for the uplift load,
