Dear Property Owner:
Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, to wit:
VIOLATIONS
Chapter 24. Land Development Regulations.
Sec. 24-111. Commercial General District (CG) (c) Uses-by exception.
(10) Sale of new or used automobiles, motorcycles and boats and automotive leasing
establishments, but no temporary car, truck boat or motorcycle show or displays. (motorcycles
being offered for sale/consignment sale without proper zoning approval or required use by
exception)
Sec. 24-161, Off street parking and loading.
(a) Purpose and intent. Required parking shall be maintained for the duration of the use it
serves. (Required parking obstructed by display of motorcycles)
(4) There shall be no sales, service or business activity of any kind within any parking area.

Sec. 24.154 Outdoor display, sale and storage of furniture household items, merchandise and
business activities outside of enclosed buildings. * (g) Within all non-residential zoning
districts, the outside display of products, or outside sale of furniture, clothing, dry goods,
hardware or other similar merchandise, equipment and materials, and also street vendors, shall be
prohibited. (Motorcycles displayed outside for sale/consignment sale)
Sec. 17.61. Sign Permit required. It shall be unlawful any person to install, erect, place, alter or
relocate any sign without first obtaining a wall sign permit with payment of the required fee to
the city. Sign permits shall be required for any sign requiring a permit under the provisions of
Section 3108.1.3, Florida Building Code. A sign permit shall not be issued prior to issuance of
the appropriate business tax receipt, except as set forth in Section 17-29(c) of this chapter. (wall
signs painted on building without the required permits)
This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by ceasing all motorcycle,vehicle
sales/consignment sales, cease storage of merchandise in the required parking area at 1830
Mayport Road upon receipt of this notice and obtain sign permits for the wall signs
installed or remove the signage within ten (10) days of the receipt of this notice.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
