A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO EMPOWER AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS AND DONATIONS
TO THE JACKSONVILLE AGENCY OF UNITED SERVICE
ORGANIZATION, INC. ; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA:
Section 1. The city commission of the city of Atlantic
Beach, Florida, is hereby authorized and empowered to
make appropriations, donations, and payments, not exceed-
ing the sum of five hundred and no/100 ($500.00) dollars
per annum to the official agency in the county of Duval
of United Service Organizations, Inc., a corporation
} not for profit, to assist in carrying out its function
of providing proper recreational programs and facilities
within the county of Duval for armed forces personnel.
Section 2. The appropriations__and donations author-

ized empowered in section 1 are hereby declared to be
for a county purpose.
Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately
upon its becoming a law. ---- 2791
