BE IT =ACTED Br THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FUORIDA: Section 1. The Town of Atlantie Beach, a municipal corporation i}t Duval County, Florida,, is hereby an thorized to issue and cell, from time to time, bonds of said town, of such denominations* bearing such rate of interest not exceeding six O per sent per annum, becoming ape at such times and upon such oon4.tttane ae ger by ordinance be determined, Which bond. shall by used for sued municipal purposes as may be provided by oirdtm►ne* and for the payment at whisk bonds and the interest thereon the entire taxable property in said town shall be thereby pledged; provided, that before the issuance of said bonds, the /semen** of the bonds then proposed to be issued shall be provided rbr by ordinances, expressing in general terms the purposes tor Which the proceeds of such issues of bonds are to be used* and subsequently approved by a majority of the votes cast in an election in which a majority of the freeholders who are qualified electors residing in said town shall participate. The Legislature hereby recognizes that, the Town of Atlantic Beach is a resort town in Duval County, Florida, and that the qualified electors under the Charter of the said town, are not residents . of the said town for the entire year, and for the purpose of this Act, any qualified elector in the State of Florida who has resided in the town thirty (30) days during the calendar year in wh9 oh an eleotton is held under the terms of this Act, and shall register as may be provided by ordinance of the said town, and who is a freeholder of said town, shall be a qualified elector under the terms of this Act. The question of the issuance of such bonds may be submitted from time to tine, and said bons for the several purposes provided for by ordinance shall be voted upon separately for each purpose. For the payment of said bonds and the interest thereon, and to provide a sinking fund therefor, the entire taxable property of said town shall be pledged by the ordinance providing for the issuance of said bonds, and the mayor and Town Council shall levy annually such epaeial tax on the taxable property within the corporate limits of said town as may be necessary to pay the interest on said bonds and to provide a sinking fund for the payer. cent of said bands. '1930,, and to regulate the calling, holding, conduct and declaration of the result of same; to prescribe the effect thereof; to limit the right to contest same and to provide penalties for violation of this Aot." ( The Notice to be published of said election shall contain in full the ordinance which may be adopted by the Town Council to authorize the issuance of said bonds. Seetion 3. The Town of Atlantis Beach, a municipal corpora. tion in Duval County, Florida, is hereby authorized to issue and sell from time to time, revenue eortifi eater of said town of sash denoatnattons and bearing sash rate of interest not exoa` ding six (6) per cent per annum, and becoming due at such times and upon such conditions as may by ordinance be determined. Such revenue certificates shall be issued for such nunioipal pur. poses as may be provided by ordinance. Said ordinance shall state the purpose for whierh the proceeds of each of such issues of revenue certificates are to be used, and shall provide that only the revenue of the particular utility and facility of said liown to be constructed or improved Shall be pledged for payment of said revenue sertifioates. 1Provided, however, that no revenue certifi- sates Shall be issued and sold until such tines as the issuance of e€ad revenue certificates then proposed to be issued shall be first approved by a majority it the votes cast in a general or special election. If in a general election, the issuance of said revenue certificates shall be edbsitted to the electors qualified to vote in said general election and if in a special election, the iantanae of said revenue ©ertifieates shall be submitted to the sles qualified to vote at the last general election held prior to said special election. Section 4. Section .395 of Chapter 13907, Laws of Florida 1929, entitled 'An Act to fix the Territorial Limits of the Town of Atlantic Beaah, to Provide for its Government and Prescribe its Jurisdiction and Powers' as amended by Section *4* of Chapter 21104, Lai.=s of Florida 1941, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 6. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Governor or upon becoming a law with- out such approval by the Governor.
