HOUSE' BILL NO. 934
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF CHAPTER 13907, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
SPECIAL ACTS OF 1929, THE SAME BEING "AN ACT TO FIX THE
TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, TO PROVIDE
FOR ITS GOVERNMENT, AND PRESCRIBE ITS JURISDICTION AND
POWERS." BY DIMINISHING THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF SAID TOWN
TO EXCLUDE THE: PABLO CREEK SALT MARSHES IN UNSURVEYED SEC-
TIONS 18 AND 19, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 29 EAST, AND PROVID-
ING FOR A REFERENDUM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the part of said Section 1 of said Chapter
13907, which reads as follows:
"to the northwesterly corner of said Section 18;
running thence Southerly along the western boundary
line of said Section 18 and the westerly boundary line
of said Section 19, in said Township and Range,"
be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"to the northeasterly corner of Unsurveyed Section
18, in said Township and Range; running thence
southerly along the U. S. Government meander line of
the Pablo Creek Salt Marshes, being also the easterly
boundary line of said. Unsurveyed Section 18 and the
easterly boundary line of Unsurveyed Section 19, in
said Township and Range."
Section 2. This Act shall not become operative or effective
until ratified or arproved at a referendum election to be called
and held in the said town of Atlantic Beach, Duval County, Florida,
as provided by general law. Said referendum election shall be
called and held not later than the second Tuesday in August,
A. P. 1950.
Became a law without the Governor's approval.
