BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGIsLAaoRE Oli"fHE STATE OF FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 16 of Chapter 13907, Laws
of Florida, Special Acts of 1929, entitled:
"AA ACT TO AMEND oECTIGhb 16, 17, AND 41 OF
ChAPTER 13907, LAWS OF FLORIDA, SPECIAL ACTS
OF 1929, THE sAILE BEING 'AN ACT TO FIX THE
TERRITuRIAL LIMITS OF THE .W OWN OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, TO PROVIDE FOR ITS GOVE',NMENT AND PRESCRIBE
ITS JURISDICTION AND POWERS' ",
be and it is hereby amended so as to read as follows :
"Section 16. The Town Clerk shall be ex officio
Town Treasurer. He shall give such bond and receive such
compensation as ex officio Treasurer as the Town Council
may proscribe. He shall receive and collect all moneys due
the Town. He shall keep a coitplete and accurate record of
all moneys by him received and paid out, and shall perform
all such other duties usually pertaining to the office of
Treasurer, as may be required by the Town Council".
Section 2. That Section 17 of said Chapter 13907 be
and it is hereby amended so as to read as follows :
"section 17. The Town Clerk as ex officio Trcn,iurer
shall deposit all moneys of the Town cominn into his hands
with a responsible banking institution or institutions to be
desitnated by the Town Council, in accordance with such re,,ula-
tions and subject to such re(.,uircNonts as to securit for

Section 6. That ,Jection 41 of said Chapter 16007

therein thirty days, or who is not a freeholder but has re-
sided therein,n4nety days, during the calendar year in which
an election is held, and shall register as may be provided
by ordinance, shall be a qualified .e16ctor in all municipal
elections, except as may otherwise be provided by Chapter
25674, Laws of Florida, 6pecial Acts of
section 4. This Act shall take effect immediately
upon its passaf-e and approval by the Governor, or upon be-
coming a law without such approval.
