Election Dates:
Primary Election - August 25, 2015
General Election (if run-off required) – November 3, 2015
OFFICES UP FOR ELECTION:
Mayor/Commissioner- Seat 1 (2 year term) - At Large - Currently held by Carolyn R. Woods
Commissioner- Seat 2 (4 year term)-District 1308 -Currently held by Maria Mark
Commissioner- Seat 3 (4 year term)-District 1307 - Currently held by Mark Beckenbach
Candidates must be registered to vote in the City of Atlantic Beach, must have been full-time residents of the
city for at least one year prior to qualifying, and must not hold any other elective office. Candidates for
Seats 2 & 3 are required to reside within the district for which they are seeking at least one year prior to
qualifying and must remain full-time residents of their respective district during any term in office. If you'd
like to know which district you are in, please review the district map or enter your address on the precinct
finder page on the Duval County Supervisor of Election's website. The Mayor has no district requirement.
The Mayor and Commissioners are all elected At-Large.

2015 Referenda
The City of Atlantic Beach will have the following two questions on the August 25, 2015 ballot.
Question 1.
A PROPOSED CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA.
Based upon the recommendations of the Atlantic Beach Charter Review Committee and the City Commission,
a new and amended charter is being proposed for the City.
Shall the above described new and amended Charter be adopted

Question 2.
CHANGE IN COMMISSIONER ELECTIONS FROM AT-LARGE VOTING TO DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE
VOTING.
Commission seats 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be elected only by the electors in the respective districts instead
of the entire electors of the City of Atlantic Beach.
Shall the above described Charter amendment be adopted?
