The trees are located in the back portion of the property all three are located within 3 feet of various structures. Subjects: Pine trees on the north side; measured at 54" above grade one 16" and one 12" DBH approximately 45 — 55 ft tall crown spread of 20 - 30ft. One pine tree to the south with a 26" DBH approximately 60-70ft tall crown spread 40-50ft Discoveries: Upon Visual assessment to the trunk and root crown I could identify on all trees an advanced vertical fiber displacement on the tension side of the trunk. The majority of the root systems on are covered with pavers or concrete slabs. The two trees to north are underdeveloped. The tree to the south has a horizontal fiber displacement on the tension side of the trunk Due the advanced stages of the fiber displacement, and possible structural damage to root system, the trees may not withstand strong winds. The close proximity of the trees to surrounding dwellings and other structures, person or property damage is highly expected Recommendation: The two trees to the north must be removed due to the high risk factor of failure from gravity or storm as soon as possible. At this phase of the diagnostics it cannot be determined if the larger tree to the south has established a stable root system and properly compartmentalized internal tissue damage, therefore recommend further diagnostics i.e. Resistograph or other mechanical measuring devices.
