Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, November 6, 2013
Adele Grage Cultural Center
4:00 p.m.
Present: Chair Lori Gaglione, Cris Garrard,Jolyn Johnson, Tammy Lally, Wanda Martin, Lynne Roskein,
Lou Catania, Timmy Johnson (City liaison).
Excused:Jeff Wight
1. Call to order- Chair Lori Gaglione called the meeting to order at 4:06 pm
2. Approval of Meeting Minutes - September 25, 2013. Lynne moved and Lou seconded the
motion to approve the September 25th minutes. The minutes were unanimously approved.
3. Ongoing Business
a. Events, Updates, Reports
i. Artisans' Faire- Lynne reported that the wrong date was posted in the
City's Water Bill. She asks that the Committee spread the word about the
event. The posters went out and Terry Selden will place the event on
Facebook. Lori will assist with the decorations.
ii. Tennis Championship - Lori reported that the event will take place the 2nd
weekend in April. Mayor Carolyn Woods inquired about the event and is
very interested. Lori will follow-up with Mayor Woods.
iii. Arts in the Park 2014-Timmy presented the Committee with the poster
for the event and informed the Committee that we have received
approximately 50 applications. Timmy also passed out a list of things to do
and asked that the Committee sign up for one or more of the assignments.
4. New Business
a. Deck the Chairs -Timmy presented the Committee with an invitation from Kurtis
Loftus and the American Red Cross to participate in the Holiday Deck the Chairs
event in Jacksonville Beach. The cost of the event is $1,000 and the participant
will be given a Lifeguard Chair to decorate for the contest. Cris moved and Lori
seconded the motion to not approve the Deck the Chairs request. The motion
carried unanimously.

b. Marshfest-The Marshfest Committee request our assistance by being
Ambassadors on the shuttle bus/van for the event. They will provide some
information for those participants that use the shuttle.
c. Meetings-Timmy reported to the Committee that because of poor attendance,
several meetings have been cancelled; therefore,the Committee need to decide
when is the best time to meet. It was the consensus that the meetings remain on
the 4th Tuesday of each Monday at 6 pm.
5. Other Agenda Items/Announcements
a. Next meeting-January 28, 2014
6. Adjournment-with no further business, Cris moved and Lori seconded the motion to
adjourn the meeting. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 4:35 pm.
