Meeting Minutes
Tuesday,January 28, 2014
Adele Grage Cultural Center
6:00 p.m.
Present: Chair Lori Gaglione, Cris Garrard,Jolyn Johnson, Tammy Lally, Wanda Martin, Lynne Roskein,
Lou Catania, Timmy Johnson and Julie Metheney(City liaisons).
Excused:Jeff Wight
Absent:Hollie Stephens
1. Call to order- Chair Lori Gaglione called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm
2. Approval of Meeting Minutes-January 25, 2014. Lou moved and Jolyn seconded the motion
to approve the September 25th minutes. The minutes were unanimously approved.
3. Ongoing Business
a. Events, Updates, Reports
i. Songwriters' Concert-Timmy reported there was a full house with great
music.
ii. Arts in the Park 2014-Timmy reported that the applications were juried
by the committee,but we received additional applications that the
committee needs to vote on. The committee reviewed the additional
applications. Cris motioned and Jolyn seconded to accept the additional
applications; the motion passed unanimously.
iii. Tennis Championship-Lori reported that the tennis tournament is
scheduled for the weekend of April 3,4 and 5.
4. New Business
a. Request from ABET-Timmy presented the committee with a request from
ABET for$4,000 to put on an event in Russell Park. Since the event will take
place in next fiscal year,the committee will address the request during budget
time.
5. Other Agenda Items/Announcements
a. Events-The committee discussed creating new events and members were ask to
come to the February meeting with proposals.
b. Next meeting-March 25, 2014
6. Adjournment-with no further business, Cris moved and Tammy seconded the motion to
adjourn the meeting. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:25 pm.
