Correction Comments
1. Fence Height: The maximum height of a fence is 6 feet as measured from grade. The proposed fence
has a height of 8 feet as measured from grade. The existing fence/wall is a nonconforming fence and
cannot be replaced by a new nonconforming fence. Please revise plans so that the fence is no taller
than 6 feet as measured from grade. (see informational comment below)
Informational Comments
2. Screen Walls: Code does allow for screen walls that exceed 6 feet provided that they meet certain
conditions. A wall up to 8 feet tall and 12 feet long can be constructed as long as it is at least 5 feet
from the property line.
