RE: Notice of Violation of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances,Chapter 16, Section 16-3(b)—Garbage and
trash, set out and storage at property known as: 2208 Oceanforest Drive W.,Atlantic Beach,42-13 08-
2S-29E Oceanwalk Unit 2, RE# 169463-0554
Dear Ms.Johnson;
Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property at the above referenced
address to be in violation of Chapter 16, Section 16-3 (b)per Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances which
states"No person shall place a container or yard waste in front of a residential unit in which he does not
reside. Nor shall containers or yard waste be placed in a city park or right-of-way adjoining a park or in a
road median. Garbage containers set out for garbage collection shall be placed at the curb of the street from
which garbage service is rendered except as otherwise provided herein. Garbage containers shall be set out
no earlier than 6:00 pm the day prior to collection and shall be returned to their regular place of storage no
later than 12:00 midnight on the day of collection. Yard waste such as leaves or grass clippings shall be set
out in a yard waste receptacle,no sooner than two(2)days prior to collection. Bulk yard waste such as tree
limbs or palm fronds may be set out when generated."
This letter requests the noted violation be corrected by placing all yard waste in a yard waste receptacle or
a disposable plastic bag no sooner than two days prior to collection. If the violation is corrected and then
recurs this case may be presented to the Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement Board even if the violation has
been corrected prior to the board meeting.The Code Enforcement Board may impose fines up to$250 a day
for each day the violation is not corrected.
A re-inspection will be done on/or after June 3, 2010. To avoid having this Code Enforcement case set
for hearing,all listed violation(s)on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by
Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement.Upon completing the corrective action(s)required, it is your
responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify
compliance.
