Meeting Minutes
Tuesday,April 19, 2016
Adele Grage Cultural Center
Present: Grant Healy,Julia Hite, Nick Malie, Jay Wilson,and Faye Wood, Timmy Johnson (City liaison),
Della Giovanni(Secretary);
Absent: Lou Catania, Pamela White
1. Call to order-Chair called the meeting to order-5:00 pm
2. Three visitors attended the meeting: Camille Rigby,friend of Nick Malie,&Beverly Norman
interested in joining the committee, Chris Jorgensen thanked the committee for the AITP
postcard.
3. Arts in the Park
a. Timmy Johnson reported for Pam White
1. Advertising complete
2. Food vendors are committed
3. Suggest banner for AITP for each end
4. Julia recommended a letter go to ABCC regarding road closure
a. Grant will contact them for an email to go to residents
5. Faye has 8 Bank of America volunteers to assist with set up and clean
up
6. Nick&Grant volunteered to welcome artists
4. Bocce Ball Tournament-Jay
1. Date set,June 11, 2016; registration 8 am/games begin 8:30 am
a. Courts to be set up by city/markers; 20 courts
b. Teams play to 12 points/championship to 15 points
c. Each committee member come up with 2 sponsors to cover cost of
t-shirts,welcome bags with water and sunscreen lotion,bocce ball
sets-possibly have Academy Sports donate sets
d. Propose beer vouchers
i. Jay to provide list of sponsor suggestions
5. Committee Update
a. Grant and Timmy met with Commissioner Stinson
i. Suggest committee going to 7 members with 2 alternates,which reduces quorum
to 4 members
ii. Will be meeting with Commissioner Stinson to change the resolution of the
committee.
6. Sunshine Laws- inquired by Jay
i. Regarding communicating via emails
ii. Timmy explained the Proposal of advisory committee vs board
iii. Suggestions of applying for committee member
iv. Department supervisor to meet with liaison
7. Monday Commission Meeting about Boy Scout project-putting a permanent fence around the
t-ball field- community input
8. Adjournment-with no further business,Jay moved for adjournment Nick seconded the motion
to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
