Dear Building Inspector:-
This is to confirm that the 1/2" wedge bolts, specified originally
on the wall section on page S3 of the engineering plans, to
connect the bottom plate to the foundation may be replaced by
1/2" threaded rods with washers and nuts and epoxy grouted 4"
into the foundation, 24" OC. The length of the rods will vary with
the thickness of the existing plate or beam supporting the studs.
