Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach,Code of Ordinances, to wit:
VIOLATION
Sec. 6-16. Adoption of Florida Building Code. There is hereby adopted, subject to any
modifications,changes and amendments set forth in this article, and for the purpose of
establishing rules and regulations for the construction,alteration, removal, demolition,
equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including
permits and penalties, that certain building code known as The Florida Building Code established
by Florida Statutes Chapter 553, Part VII,as amended from time to time so that the latest edition
of the Florida Building Code shall apply and the International Property Maintenance Code, most
recent edition. in the office of the city clerk, and the same are adopted and incorporated as fully
as if set out at length in this article, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the
construction of all buildings and other structures within the city. (large wood frame ground
sign and structure erected without the required permits or inspections)
Sec. 17.61. Sign Permit required. It shall he unlawful any person to install, erect,place,alter or
relocate any sign without first obtaining a wall sign permit with payment of the required fee to
the city. Sign permits shall he required for any sign requiring a permit under the provisions of
Section 3108.1.3, Florida Building Code. A sign permit shall not be issued prior to issuance of
the appropriate business tax receipt,except as set forth in Section 17-29(c)of this chapter. (Sign
installed on large unpermitted wood frame structure)
This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of the large wood
frame structure including posts and any attachments from the premises within five(5) days
of the receipt of this notice.
'fo avoid having this case he referred to the Code Enforcement Board,all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
It is our goal to keep our neighborhoods looking well maintained while protecting property
