Dear Property Owners:
Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach,Code of Ordinances,to wit:
VIOLATION
SEC. 12-1 (b)It shall hereby declared a nuisance, the enumerations of which are merely
indications of the nature and type of acts,occurrences and conditions,and shall not be deemed to
be exclusive: (3) For any person to allow, suffer or permit any lot, premises or place of any kind
whatsoever to become neglected so as to become a detriment to public health by the depositing
filth or rubbish of any kind. (Discarded roofing materials from roof work, trash and debris
dumped in rear of your building overflowing onto adjacent vacant lot owned by others)
See. 24-173. Neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards. (b) Appropriate
maintenance and upkeep. All areas of a lot and structures that are visible from the street or a
neighboring property shall be maintained in an acceptable manner, which shall be defined by the
following characteristics: 1. Lots are maintained free from litter,trash,debris, discarded
belongings, automotive parts, old tires,construction materials, and broken and abandoned items.
(Discarded roof sheathing,trash and construction debris in rear of your property
encroaching onto the neighboring vacant lot)
This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of all construction
trash, lumber,debris and trash form the rear of your property and any overflowing onto
adjacent vacant lot within ten (10)days of the receipt of this notice.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for
continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
