Re: 1057 Beach Avenue DEP Letter
Mr. Howard Loff,
The City of Atlantic Beach did a preliminary review of your plans for a new swimming pool and
surrounding deck east of main house at 1057 Beach Avenue. Drawings provided by the architect
show that the no portion of the swimming pool is within 5 feet of the side property lines and is not
within 20 feet of the front property line. Additionally no portion of the decking is exceeds 30
inches in height within 5 feet of the side property lines and within 20 feet of the front property
line. Based on this, the proposed construction does not contravene any local setbacks or zoning
codes.
This letter does not constitute an approval by the City. The project must still be submitted to the
City in a permit application and be approved by all applicable departments prior to approval.

pool fence. It was kind of you to take the time.
As you're aware, we're going to be building a pool and balcony and need a local letter of
approval for our project for DEP.
I'm providing the engineering plans and would greatly appreciate your taking care of this as
soon as possible.
