Rick,
Last week David Thompson and I took a drive through the Royal Palms area to look at some of the properties that we
have some issues with. These two are in foreclosure and we cannot get anyone to do what we ask. David said that he
and Jim Hanson have discussed that when we come across this situation we(the City) need to take care of these issues.
We will attempt to be reimbursed but understand that the chances are very slim.
775 Sabalo—Needs to have the grass&weeds cut.
765 Sabalo—Needs to have the grass&weeds cut also has a lot of garbage and trash in carport and in back&front
yards. Entire
property needs to be cleaned up.

Dear Mr. Hedtke:
Please be advised,Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property referenced above to be in
violation of Chapter 3, Section 302.4.1—Weeds,"All premise and exterior property shall be maintained
free from weeds or plant growth in excess of twelve(12") in height. All noxious weeds shall be
prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses,annual plants and vegetation,other than trees or shrubs
provided,however,this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens".
This letter requests that the noted violation be corrected by mowing the grass and excessive weeds
(which have reached five(51)feet in some areas on the property)within ten(10)days from receipt
of this letter.
A re-inspection will be done on or after November 1,2010. Failure to comply will result in the city
correcting the violation at a cost of the work plus a charge equal to 100%of the work to cover the City's
administrative expenses,which will be assessed against the property. If not paid within thirty(30)days
after receiving the billing,the invoice amount plus advertising costs will be recorded as a lien on the
Property. Upon completing the corrective action(s)required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic
Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
It is our goal to enforce the codes and ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach and protect the health,
safety and welfare of the City,and accordingly,your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
