term rental and are in violation of the following ordinance under Atlantic Beach City Code:
Chapter 24:
Rental of residential property for a period of less then 90 days.
Unless you own a commercial property such as a hotel, motel, motor lodge, resort rental, bed and
breakfast or a tourist court, you cannot rent or lease any house, apartment or condo for a period of
less then 90 days. Only designated commercial properties that are properly permitted and licensed
may rent or lease by the day or week, and such activities are prohibited in residential areas.
Furthermore you are reminded that violations of City Code can incur fines of up to$500.00 per day,
per violation from the Code Enforcement Board with fines levied against both the owner and the
manager of any property that is found to be in violation of this code.
