The purpose of this is correspondence is to serve as an Official Notification of Violation. You have
been identified as being in violation of the Florida Building Code, Sections 109.1 and 105.1, and
under Atlantic Beach City Code: Chapter 6, Sec 6-16 Adoption of Florida Building Code.
1. Installing a fence without a permit
2. Failing to have the required inspection.
While conducting a routine patrol, the City's Code Enforcement Officer identified that the
aforementioned work had been accomplished without proper permits or inspections. To eliminate
any undo hardship I am granting you 14 days from receipt of this notification to either apply for a
permit through the City's Building Department or remove the non-permitted fence.
Furthermore I would remind you of your responsibilities as a homeowner to abide by the
regulations of the city, county and state, and that non-compliance can result in fines of up to
$500.00 per day, per violation from the Code Enforcement Board.
