A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA APPOINTING
KEVIN HOGENCAMP, AS TEMPORARY INTERIM CITY MANAGER AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Article III, Sec. 21 of the Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires the
City Commission to Appoint a City Manager; and
WHEREAS, Article II, Sec. 9 (11) of the Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires
the City Commission to appoint, remove and fix the compensation of all officers and
employees appointed by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint Kevin Hogencamp as Temporary
Interim City Manager, until an Interim City Manager is selected.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida as follows:
SECTION 1. Kevin Hogencamp shall serve as Temporary Interim City Manager for the
City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, until such time that an Interim City Manager is selected by
the Commission, as set forth herein:
a. The compensation and salary of Kevin Hogencamp shall be sixty dollars
($60.00) per hour and overtime compensation is not authorized;
b. Kevin Hogencamp shall faithfully carry out the duties of the City Manager
as stipulated by the City Charter, and as requested by the City Commission;
Section 2. The Human Resource Director is hereby directed to initiate and coordinate
the recruitment process for an interim City Manager and for a permanent City Manager.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
Section 4. The Human Resource Director is hereby authorized to negotiate and
execute an employment agreement with Kevin Hogencamp as an independent contractor
for the Temporary Interim City Manager position, as provided for herein above.
