Dear Mr. Baldwin:
The paving and drainage plan on the referenced project has been reviewed
by this office. In general I feel this must be a preliminary plan and
request that the following information be considered and submitted on the
final paving and drainage plan.
1. Submit storm drainage calculations.
2. Submit stormwater retention calculations.
3. Show drainage areas (onsite and offsite).
4. Show complete topographic information on Royal Palm Drive,
Aquatic Drive and Atlantic Blvd.
5. All stormwater draining from City streets (Royal Palm Dr. )
must be routed through an easement or right of way dedicated
to the City. This drainage area should not be routed through
retention basins.
6. All storm drainage systems to be maintained by the City shall
be RCP.
7. Retention Basins:
A) Minimum bottom elev. +3.5 (mean annual high water elev.
is 3.0±).
B) Underdrain will be required in bottoms of all basins.
C) Basin side slopes should be 4:1 min.
D) Basins shall receive full sod.
E) Public access around basins shall be limited by fencing
or hedge (3 ft. high minimum).
F) Retention basin is required for the drainage areas located
in the rear of the shopping center.
8) Improvements to Aquatic Drive should be detailed.
9) Royal Palm Drive should be improved and striped to accommodate
left hand turn lanes and storage at the two entrances.

10) Median modifications and left hand turn lanes will be required
on Atlantic Blvd. (This requires FDOT approval )
11) Relocation of the existing drainage outfall will require FDOT
approval. Submit plans and letter of approval and documenta-
tion showing abandonment of existing right of way and dedica-
tion of new right of way.
