Jones, Jr. 781 Begonia Street Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233 RE: Notice of Violation—City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances and International Property Maintenance Code 781 Begonia Street, Lot Pt 4 and Pt 5, Block 145, Sec H Atlantic Beach RE#170927-1040 CASE NO. 34211 Dear Mr. Jones: Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property referenced above to be in violation of City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, International Property Maintenance Code Section 302.8 —Motor Vehicles to wit: VIOLATIONS INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE Section 302.8— Motor Vehicles "No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked or kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of disrepair, major disassembly or in the process of being stripped or dismantled". (Chevrolet Camero and Oldsmobile, inoperable no valid tags) CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES Section 24-163 (a-1) Storage and parking of commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles and equipment and repair of vehicles in residential zoning districts. (a) The storage and parking of commercial vehicles greater than twelve thousand five hundred (12,500)pounds gross vehicle weight and dual rear wheel vehicles shall be prohibited in all residential zoning districts. Commercial vehicles of less than twelve thousand five hundred (12,500) pounds gross vehicle weight, recreational vehicles, and trailers of all types, including travel, boat, camping and hauling, shall not be parked or stored on all lot occupied by a dwelling or on any lot in any residential zoning district, except in accordance with the following requirements: `� Page 2 781 Begonia Street May 26, 2011 (1) No more than one (1) commercial vehicle of less than twelve thousand five hundred (12,500) pounds shall be permitted any residential lot, and such commercial vehicles shall be parked of a minimum of twenty (20) feet from the front line. Such commercial vehicle shall be used in association with the occupation of the resident. (Only one boat, recreational vehicles, or trailer may be stored in yard) Section 24-173. Neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards. (b) Appropriate maintenance and upkeep. All areas of a lot and structures that are visible from a street or a neighboring property shall be maintained in an acceptable manner, which shall be defined by the following characteristics: 1. Lots are maintained free of litter, trash, debris, discarded belongings, automotive parts and old tires, construction materials, and broken and abandoned items. 5. Household items of any type that are customarily intended to be used and maintained within the interior of a residence are not stored or discarded in any location on a lot that is visible from a street. Similarly, within the rear or side yards of a lot, such items are not stored in a manner or amount such that an unsightly nuisance to neighboring properties or an environment that attracts rodents, insects, or other animals and pests is created. (storage on trailers and in yard pipe and fittings) This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of the unlicensed Chevrolet Camero and Oldsmobile, removal of pipe and fittings stored on trailers and removal of all trailers, box trailers, etc. except one and limit storage to one on site within ten (10) days from receipt of this notice and maintain storage of no more than one trailer on the premises. A re-inspection will be done on or before June 8,2011. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations.
