June 4,2010 CERTIFIED MAIL Derek Wiltison 322 Royal Palms Drive Atlantic Beach,FL 32233 RE: Notice of Violation of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances,Chapter 24, Section 24-65(b)(1)(2)— Development,construction and storage within zoning districts at property known as:322 Royal Palms Drive,Atlantic Beach,31-16 38-2S-29E Royal Palms Unit 2A,RE# 171707-0000 Dear Mr.Wiltison; Please be advised,Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property at the above referenced address to be in violation of Chapter 24,Section 24-65(b)(1)per City of Atlantic Beach Code which states"Within all residential zoning districts,enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for the temporary storage of personal household belongings of occupants of the property may be placed on the property for a period not to exceed four(4) days or ninety-six(96)hours. Registration shall be required for each such use of any temporary storage structures." And Section 24-65(b)(2)which states"In the event of damage to a residential dwelling by fire,storm,flood,or other such property loss,this period of time may be extended to ten(10)days upon request to and written approval of the city manager." This letter requests the noted violation be corrected by removing the storage container stored on your property within ten days from receipt of this letter.If the violation is corrected and then recurs or if the violation is not corrected by the time specified in this notice this case may be presented to the Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement Board even if the violation has been corrected prior to the board meeting.The Code Enforcement Board may impose fines up to$250 a day for each day the violation is not corrected. A re-inspection will be done on/or after June 14,2010. To avoid having this Code Enforcement case set for hearing, all listed violation(s)on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement.Upon completing the corrective action(s)required,it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
