• Proposed planting 20 palm trees at an average of 30+ inches for a total of 200 inches. Site plan
shows more than 20 palm trees which will be adjusted in fjbd. According to mitigation, I am
required to have 10" palm, 32.5" Palm and 40" Other (1/2 of "Other" or maximum of 40") for a
total of 82.5" of palm. We will exceed this number.
• Proposed planting 2 Legacy Live Oaks at 4" each to replace 6.5" of Live Oak. Then plant 6
Hardwoods at 4" caliper for a total of 24 inches. This will fulfill the requirement of 24" of
"Other" trees (64" "Other" — 40" Palm = 24" Hardwood)
• If we the plan changes in the field, I will file a follow up plan showing any changes
4) Diseased Tree— I will get an arborist to survey the 28" cedar to confirm diseased. If not
diseased, and we take it out, I will either plant 14" of Live Oak trees or pay into the tree fund.
5) ]will be calling in a tree barricade inspection for tomorrow. There will be some trees that are
not accessible for barricades until vegetation is cleared.

Brian,
I will make 3 of the hardwood trees into Live Oak trees giving me 12" more. Also, I was planting two 4" (8" total) Live
Oaks to replace the 6.5" needed for an overage of 1.5". 1 would like to apply the 1.5" to the 12" to give me 13.5". This
will exceed the 12.5" that I still need according to your e-mail.
I was unaware of the required one tree to be planted in the front yard. I will comply with this requirement. Currently, I
am saving two large Live Oak trees in the front yard. This may count, if not I will plant the required trees, please advise.
I am demolishing the house and removing trees on Monday, June 5`". I am assuming this e-mail from you constitutes a
tree removal approval with conditions.
Please let me know if there is anything else that you need from me. I will be in Monday morning to pick up the permit.

Chris,
Attached are your tree mitigation calculations for 49 and 55 Donner Rd. We used as much extra mitigation credit for 49
Donner as we could towards 55 Donner, but you still need 12.5" of mitigation. The reason our calculations differed from
yours was because the code states that replacement credit for palms shall be limited to forty (40) inches or fifty (50)
percent of required mitigation, whicheveris lesser. Unfortunately, the fifty percent was less than the 40 inches that you
used in your calculations.
If any of the six hardwoods you are going to plant at 49 Donner are legacy trees this will result in more mitigation credit.
So if they are, let me know. I also wanted to clarify that the Crepe Myrtle being removed is indeed 28" inches.

Lastly, Section 23-30 requires one planted or preserved tree to be placed in the front yard. Your current mitigation plan
does not include this.

Per Mr. Chris Lambertson request I have inspected a large Cedar tree located at 49 Donner Rd.
This is a mature tree with structural issues. Although the canopy shows a relatively healthy tree,
due to its poor trunk condition and significant lem, I believe this tree to be a liability.
Before my new construction I would recommend tbis tree be removed.
In my Professional opinion this tree is dangerous and will fail.
