Enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for temporary storage may be used following registration with the city on a form provided by the planning and zoning department, payment of the required fee, and subject to the following provisions: (1) Within all residential zoning districts, enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for the temporary storage of personal household belongings of occupants of the property may be placed on the property for a period not to exceed four(4) days or ninety-six (96) hours. Registration shall be required for each such use of any temporary storage structures. (2) In the event of damage to a residential dwelling by fire, storm, flood, or other such property loss, this period of time may be extended to ten (10) days upon request to and written approval of the city manager. (3) Within all nonresidential zoning districts, enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for storage, may be used for temporary storage of items related to the business located on the property, for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days. Such structures shall not be located within required front yards and shall not be used to store any chemical, hazardous, flammable or combustible materials. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing the POD that is in the right of way within ten (10) days of the receipt of this notice. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
