Dear Inspector,
Please be advised that in lieu of what was shown on the Construction Documents concerning the
connectors at the post(s), we will be using Simpson ABU44 at the Post Base. There will be a '/2"
Galv. All Thread epoxied into our footing, drilled thru the 2-2 x 12 Beam, and into the PT 4 x 4
Post. The ABU44 shall be nailed into the beam as well as the post. We will also be using
Simpson BC4Z at the Top of the post, nailed into the 2-2 x12 beam above. Please feel free to call
