This Analysis has been performed using Osmose O-Calc Pro Version 5.01 modeling software. The existing pole was designed per the following specifications: - Class 4 Southern Pine - Wires and 'A"guy wires at various elevations - Pole embedment depth is 7ft - Pole was observed to be in fair condition It is proposed to install new telecommunications equipment on an existing Class 4 timber pole within the above mentioned geographic region.Specifications for the existing pole were provided by Mobilitie.KMB has reviewed the appropriate codes and has established a maximum wind speed of 140mph for this load case and analysis. An importance factor of 1.15 was used. The pole will be supported by an existing direct embedment foundation. This existing pole will support the following Black Box solutions 2500MHz loading: Elevation Antenna 6'-0" Disconnect 11'-0" Distribution Box 16' 6" Equipment Shroud w/UE Relay, GPS Antenna, and Radio 25'-1" Omni Antenna www.KMBDG.com 1800 Route 34,Suite 209 • Wall,NJ 07719 732.280.5623 Structural Evaluation—23ft AGL Timber Pole KMB KMB Project No: 335.0000 DESIGN GROUP Date: 6/23/2017 As part of the design process, engineers licensed to practice in Florida, have reviewed the existing pole for the proposed equipment loading. The applicable design codes which govern the structural analysis of this project are as follows: - TIA-222-G - 2014 Florida Building Code 5"Edition - National Electrical Safety Code—NESC C2-2012 - NESC Light Grade C Construction - NESC 250C 140-mph with no ice. Findings: Pole: Based on the attached calculations, we hereby determine that the existing wood pole will be stressed to 47.0% of its max allowable capacity. Hence, we conclude that the existing pole can safely support the proposed telecommunications equipment as documented within the Appendix A calculations. Foundation: KMB has utilized the following method of analysis for the pole foundation: 2014 Florida Building Code, Section 1807.3.2.1 o Soil Class: Silty Sand o Presumptive lateral bearing pressure: 150 psf/ft Based on our assessment, the existing embedment depth of 7ft is sufficient to support the proposed loading. Please refer to calculations in Appendix B for further details. Conclusion &Recommendations: KMB's analysis determines that based on general soil parameters and characteristics for these regions that the pole and foundation have sufficient capacity to resist the base moments. Should there be any modifications to the existing or proposed equipment configuration KMB shall be notified to update the report.
