(Because the Channel Drain is an un-block able fitting, no other fitting is necessary.) This riser must be installed directly in the center of the pool, at its deepest point, and instead of installing a CAP on the top of the riser, for pressure testing, the Channel Drain must be installed. If a hydrostatic valve is required, see page 3 for plumbing details. The maximum flow rate of the Channel Drain, certified by the NSF, is 196 GPM (1.0ft/sec) for single suction & 227 GPM (1.lftlsec) for dual suction drains.
