To the owners of the referenced business and building:
It has come to the City's attention that a new roof-top air conditioning unit was recently installed at your
location without a building permit.
Any building construction, including installing/replacing air conditioning equipment, is in violation of Florida
Building Code—Building(FBC-B), Section 105.1.
Please submit a Building Permit Application with all documentation for the new equipment and installation. A
licensed contractor, with the proper license, must make this application. A preliminary meeting and inspection,
onsite with the contractor, will be required before the Permit is issued.
Any person who commences work before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a penalty of 100
percent of the usual permit fee plus$110.00(two additional inspections)in addition to the required permit fees,
per Florida Statute 553.80 and Florida Building Code-Building, Section 109.4.
This case will be forwarded to the Code Enforcement Board, if the above required Building Permit Application
is not received by the Building Department within twenty-one (21)days of the date of this letter.
