AGENDA ITEM: Ditch Spraying and Maintenance

BACKGROUND: The City's current contract is with Bluewater Environmental of
. Florida, Inc. for Ditch Spraying and Maintenance, which expires on
Apri130, 2005. We have contacted Mr. John Pastore, owner of
Bluewater Environmental of Florida, Inc., and he has agreed to
extend the contract for another year at the current prices ($19,760.)
This price also includes the addition of the FDOT Pond # 3 and the
Aquatic Pond. The City has the option of extending the current
contract for two (2) one (1) year periods and this proposed
extension will be the Second.
. RECOMII~NDATION: Extend the contract for one year at the current prices.
' BUDGET: $17,964. Budgeted in Storm Water account 470-0000-538-34.00
Balance will come from same account.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by John Pastore, owner of Bluewater Environmental
- of Florida, Inc. agreeing to the extension at the current prices.

As you are aware, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for ditch spraying & maintenance
e:cpires on April 30, 2005. We would like to extend the contract for another year at the current
prices, if this is acceptable to your company.
If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before March 3I, 2005, so I can prepare a staff
report for the City Commission to accept the extension.
We look forward to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
