AGENDA ITEM: Award Bid Number 0405-9 Lawn & Pest Control For The
City Facilities to TruGreen in the amount of $13,492

BACKGROUND: On January 20, 2005, bid number 0405-9 Lawn & Pest
Control For City Facilities were opened and the following
bids were received:
Pestmaster's Service incomplete
• McCall's Inc. incomplete
Terminex & TruGreen
Co-op Bid $22,012.00
• Royal Pest Control $22,740.00
Pestmaster's Service did not submit a signed
documentation of site visit form and McCall's did not
submit a signed copy of document requirements checklist.
Additional areas and service were included in the bid and
because of this TruGreen's bid came in over the amount
budgeted in the utilities account. To bring the bid within
budget, we are recommending excluding outdoor
fertilization and weed control of the outer areas at the water
treatment plant, water plant #1 and water plant #2. If the
budget is approved, these areas will be added in the fall.
BUDGET: Each department budgeted funds for pest control service.
RECOMMENDATION: Award Bid Number 0405-9 Lawn & Pest Control For The
City Facilities to TruGreen in the amount of $13,492
