A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #1617-12 FOR A MULTI-YEAR JANITORIAL SERVICES
FOR CITY FACILITIES CONTRACT TO SUPREME JANITORIAL
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, on August 23, 2017, five bids were received and opened for the Multi -Year
Contract for Janitorial Services for City Facilities; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid received was from Supreme Janitorial Services in the total
annual amount of $57,216.00; and
WHEREAS, Supreme Janitorial Services is the current contractor providing janitorial
services and staff has been satisfied with the level of service they provide; and
WHEREAS, the current year (FY -2017) budget includes $51,000 in City Hall account 001-
1012-519-3400 for Janitorial Services; and $60,000 is the current budget request for FY -2018; and
WHEREAS, the period of the contract shall commence on October 1, 2017 and shall
terminate five (5) years after the date of commencement. The contractor may cancel the contract at
the end of the 3`a or 4h year, without cause, upon six (6) months prior written notice to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City's financial obligations in the contract are subject to and contingent
upon the City Commission's approval and future appropriation of lawfully appropriated funds; and;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1617-12 to Supreme Janitorial
Services in the annual amount of $57,216.00 to provide janitorial services as stipulated iri the bid
specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to send a Notice of Award to Supreme
Janitorial Services;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
