AGENDA ITEM: List of property to be declared surplus

BACKGROUND: Over time, the City accumulates various properties that lose
their usefulness due to deterioration or obsolescence. Only
items deemed truly of no use to the City are on this list.
The attached List includes two worn-out Police vehicles.
Jacksonville Beach has agreed to include these two vehicles
in their upcoming auction, tentatively scheduled for
Thursday, April 21, 2005. The remaining items on the list
have been deemed by the City's Information Technology
Departrnent to be obsolete or the continued use of which is
uneconomical or inefficient and have recommended that
these items be destroyed.
BUDGET: There is no budget for this action. Proceeds from the sale
of the vehicles sold at auction will be distributed to the
fund from which the property came.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Iist of property as surplus to the City of
Atlantic Beach
